Collection: Baskets

ASSiA has sourced a new collection of assorted sisal bread baskets and bin baskets in mixed colours and size from Basket Weavers women's groups in Tsavo area.                We have also added a small collection of elephant grass wave baskets from Ghana.    Our third addition is the versatile table or wall art baskets from Rwanda using reeds, sweet grass and raffia.

We still keep a large selection of our popular ethical sisal storage baskets in every size; useful for laundry, shopping, toys, plants etc. sourced from an elderly Women's group in Kitui and finished with hand stitched leather trim and handles. 

Woollen Kiondo baskets are made from re-cycled wool garnered from old jumpers and individually hand made by ladies in Karatina area following old family tradional patterns and then hand finished in our Nairobi workshops.

There is a basket for everyone and every occasion!
